More Minutia

1. What time did you get up this morning? I woke up at 2:30, 4:30 (to note that the power was back and to then cover my head with a pillow), 5:00, 5:30, 5:45, and 5:51 (alarm). But I only got out of bed at 6:07.
2. Diamonds or pearls? Diamonds, despite the guilt factor of wasted money. I'd buy emeralds, but that's even worse.
3. What was the last film you saw at the cinema? Cloverfield
4. What is your favorite TV show? Heros, but I don't watch tv anymore.
5. What do you usually have for breakfast? Breakfast typically consists of a grazing period between 7:15 and whenever I eat lunch. It often involves Doritos, cheese, fruit snacks, granola bar, gold fish, Pixie Stix... or whatever else happens to be in my pukenience (poo-keyn'-yence) store.
6. What is your middle name? Marie Werner
7. What food do you dislike? I know there's something... But I really can't think of anything right now. I'm an equal opportunity food lover. OH! I know! I know! I don't like pickled herring... no matter how much Dad and Jeanette try to convince me otherwise.
8. What is your favorite CD at the moment? As if I could ever pick just one. But recent listens have been to Life at These Speeds and The Eels.
9. What kind of car do you drive? 2006 Honda Civic
10. Favorite sandwich? Depends on my mood.But I do love Reubens (so hard to find good ones) and things with bacon and cheddar. I'm always a sucker for grilled cheese, basic and e-style.
11. What characteristic do you despise? My response is common - vindictiveness, pettiness, shallowness... you know, mean-spiritedness
12. Favorite item of clothing? Well, default is obviously the red "10" t-shirt that is older than me which I salvaged from my sister's trashcan. And my beloved flipflops that have been blogged previously, of course. But now that my "10" was forced into retirement, my favorite wearable shirt is my red Snoopy tee. And yes, I am currently wearing it.
13. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go? Wait, I can't cop out with "everywhere"? Fine... first on my list is Japan.
14. Favorite brand of clothing? The kind on sale
15. Where would you retire? Someplace warmish, overseas, with lots of trees, close to country and city
16. What was your most recent memorable birthday? Well, by default, none of my birthday's are ever memorable. But considering gifts (officially and unofficially) received, I'm going to have to go with 27th.
17. Favorite sport to watch? Meh, I don't watch sports unless I personally know the people. But then, wait... I do like to watch ballroom dancing sometimes, and I love figure skating...
18. Furthest place you are sending this? I won't spam people's email boxes because I doubt anybody but Mum cares about my answers.

20. When is your birthday? January 23 - 0123!
21. Are you a morning person or a night person? I'm so definitely not a morning person... mornings make me break out in hives.

23. Pets? Yep, O-ren Ishii Ashiyana PooPoo Kitty Buck. Kudos to the person who knows all 4 references/reasons behind that name.
24. Any new or exciting news? I have a rabid two-headed koala-alligator hybrid in my closet.
25. What did you want to be when you were little? A doctor (Thanks to Dr. Bob from the Muppets) and later refined to an ophthalmologist.
26. How are you today? Um... seriously? Sleepy, happy, focused, sleepy, content, giggly, irritated, pissy, groggy, silent, content, productive, giggly, isolatory (copyright pending), contrary, meh, happy, grinful (more copyright pending), chatty, giggly, gurgly, cold, happy, sleepy.... in pretty much that order.
27. What is your favorite flower? No particulars, but prefer ones that aren't big and gaudy and that have a fragrance begging to have your nose buried in it. I also love wildflowers and running barefoot in them. I say I don't like getting cut flowers, but they always make me happy when I receive them.
28. What is a day on the calendar you are looking forward to? Friday and/or Saturday

30. What are you listening to right now? Wow, silence - can you believe it?!
31. What was the last thing you ate? a piece of broccoli
32. Do you wish on stars? Not any more

36. Favorite soft drink? Not that I really like soda, but I typically drink Mountain Dew. I also love mixing Dr. Pepper and orange soda when I get the chance. OH! And Orange Crush! Mmmm....

39. What was your favorite toy as a child? A stack of paper, pencils, crayons, scissors, Elmer's glue, tape, wax paper, watercolors, and magazines
40. Favorite Season? Used to be winter... but Winter doesn't exist in Memphis, so I'd have to go with late spring or early fall.
41. Hugs or kisses? The candy? Hugs. If talking actions, then I'll go with a kiss because it should always come with the hug.

43. Coffee or Ice Tea? Indian tea - masala chai
44. Do you want your friends to email you back? N/A ... but in general, of course I do.
45. When was the last time you cried? Normally, I'd say yesterday... but I'm too happy lately, so I can't remember the last time
46. What is under your bed? A futon
47. What did you do last night? Worked until I passed out / power went out
48. What are you afraid of? Snakes (but I'm getting better) and being truly and completely alone
49. Salty or sweet? And tangy and sour and savory and spicy and... (had to steal Kimbourough Fair's answer here)
50. How many keys on your key ring? Seven
51. How many years at your current job? Will be a year in April
52. Favorite day of the week? Mondays for the evenings. Weekends are generally achingly dull.
53. How many towns have you lived in? Six
54. Do you make friends easily? By my definition of friend, no. But if I'm in the mood to engage in conversation, and if I'm going by the standard definition of friend, then sure.
55. Who is a person you admire? The last voicemail I left her - "Ooooo... necesito mi momasita... no puedo vivir sin mi momasita... ooooo..... pero no me ama! *sniff* adios, mundo cruel, mi momasita no me ama... *giggle giggle giggle*"
